Guava root knot nematode detections in Queensland

Guava root knot nematode (Meloidogyne enterolobii; GRKN) has been detected in two locations in Queensland, one in Dimbulah in Far North Queensland and one in Hervey Bay.

As a result of multiple detections in multiple jurisdictions, the Consultative Committee on Emergency Plant Pests (CCEPP) met on 1 February 2023 to discuss potential eradication and management options.
