This five-day two-part workshop is aimed at building base level diagnostic capability for Khapra beetle and related Dermestid beetles, together with an advanced component providing high level taxonomic identification skills for Trogoderma granarium. The course will include general presentations on biology, morphology and classification of Dermestid beetles, exploration of molecular and morphology identification methods and hands on practical sessions identifying physical specimens. For the advanced component this will cover adult genetalia dissection and larvae identification techniques.
