The National Plant Biosecurity Diagnostic Network (NPBDN), coordinated by Plant Health Australia, has completed its 2024–25 Virtual Annual Diagnostics Workshop (vADW) series, held from November 2024 to April 2025.
Across four webinars, more than 435 participants from Australia, New Zealand and beyond explored plant virology, mycology, bacteriology and invertebrate pests. The series featured 19 expert presenters, five student contributors and over 20 species and plant diseases.
The vADW program delivered updates on diagnostic standards and technologies, supported national protocol development, and strengthened biosecurity preparedness. It also fostered cross-sector collaboration and helped develop the next generation of plant health diagnosticians.
NPBDN members can access the presentations and recordings of all vADW 2024-25 webinars using the links below:
NPBDN professional development activities are made possible with coordination and support from NIWG and SPHD, with funding provided from DAFF under the National Plant Biosecurity Diagnostic Professional Development and Protocols Project.
