Plant Health Australia (PHA) is currently advertising several Project Officer roles to join their Partnerships, Response and Grains Farm Biosecurity Program teams.

Project Officer – Partnerships

With general direction and day-to-day supervision from the Manager, Partnerships, this role provides high level professional administrative support across a range of projects and key committees in the PHA Partnerships Team.

The position is available on a full-time or part-time (minimum 30 hours per week) basis for an initial period of two years.

Project Officer – Response

Under day-to-day supervision from the National Manager, Response, this role supports the development of nationally relevant policies, procedures and guidelines to enhance the EPPRD and national response arrangements. It also supports PHA’s responsibilities during emergency plant pest responses and collaborates with the training program to enhance the capability and capacity of EPPRD signatories and related stakeholders.

The position is available on a full-time or part-time (minimum 30 hours per week) basis for an initial period of one year, with possible extension.

Project Officer – Grains Farm Biosecurity Program

Under general direction and day-to-day supervision from the National Manager, Preparedness and RD&E, this role is responsible for coordinating and delivering the Grains Farm Biosecurity Program (GFBP). The program focuses on the adoption of biosecurity practices on-farm. The program operates in partnership with Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia state governments. The role assists in developing and delivering on-farm biosecurity resources, targeted plans and extension materials to improve biosecurity preparedness and response capabilities in the grains industry.

The position is available on a full-time or part-time (minimum 30 hours per week) basis for an initial period of two years.

Salary

The salary range (excluding employer superannuation contributions) is $77,610 to $99,784, depending on skills and experience.
