Following the success of the Annual Diagnostic and Surveillance Workshop in May this year, the Plant Surveillance Network Asia-Pacific (PSNAP) and National Plant Biosecurity Diagnostic Network (NPBDN) are currently planning some exciting events for their members over next nine months. These include a Virtual ADSW2023 later this year and face-to-face Annual Diagnostic and Annual Surveillance Workshops in 2024. The network websites are also undergoing a refresh, with the aim to deliver a more visually appealing, easy to navigate digital experience, whilst offering members convenient access to an improved member portal, plus the latest resources, training, news and career opportunities.
“At the centre of the refresh is the creation of easy-to-use websites that are more streamlined, offering a visually engaging experience,” said Dr Lucy Tran-Nguyen, PHA General Manager, Partnerships and Innovation.

The National Plant Biosecurity Surveillance and Diagnostic Professional Development and Protocols Projects are coordinated and delivered by Plant Health Australia and are funded by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. The objectives of the Projects are to enhance and strengthen Australia’s surveillance and diagnostic capacity and capability to identify priority plant pests that impact on plant industries, environment and the community.
