NPBDN Membership Requirements

A person qualifies to be a member of the network, if the person is:

• engaged in, or contributes to, the diagnosis of plant pests; or
• a member or observer on PHC, SPHD or their respective working groups or networks (i.e. PSNAP); or
• concerned with regulation of plant biosecurity diagnostics, plant biosecurity or plant movements;
• and the person meets at least one of the following criteria:
  • are an employee of a member organisation and undertaking a role relating to diagnostics (including policy, surveillance or operations); or
  • are an employee of an Australian or QUADS or ASEAN government department that is responsible for biosecurity and undertaking a role relating to diagnostics (including policy, surveillance or operations); or
  • are working in an industry-based plant biosecurity diagnostics role; or
  • are working on a relevant research discipline in a research institution (e.g. government, university, museum and/or private research organisation); or
  • are a private diagnostics consultant; or
  • are a member of the Plant Surveillance Network Australasia-Pacific with an interest in diagnostics.
