Event
The Annual Surveillance Workshop (ASW) and the Annual Diagnostics Workshop (ADW) are networking events for diagnosticians and surveillance practitioners to come together to share knowledge and learnings.
Event
The HPIS is an interdisciplinary, international congress, bringing together researchers who study phytophagous piercing/sucking insects, their complex interactions with their host plants, environment and pathogen transmission.
Event
Nanopore sequencing has opened up the potential of novel biosecurity applications in every laboratory due to its portability, small foot print, and minimal capital investment required. To fully exploit Nanopore sequencing’s potential and to modernise Australian biosecurity we need to build capacity and proficiency for end-users with hands-on workshops in sequencing and data analysis. This biosecurity focused workshop aims to contribute to capacity building and establish a community of practice of Nanopore sequencing focusing on biosecurity and eDNA.
Event
Presentations: Tuesday 30th August – Thursday 1st September
Workshops: Monday 29th August and Friday 2nd September
AgriBio, Centre for AgriBioscience, Melbourne

Event
Funding is available to members of the National Plant Biosecurity Diagnostic Network (NPBDN) for Diagnostic Residentials projects that show benefit to the NPBDN and national plant biosecurity diagnostics. Diagnostic Residentials involve plant biosecurity diagnostician(s) spending time in another laboratory, workplace, or by participating in relevant activities that improve the national capability to identify plant pests.
Event
Animal Health Australia, the Invasive Species Council, the Centre for Invasive Species Solutions and Plant Health Australia are excited to host the 2nd Australian Biosecurity Symposium on 3-5 May 2022 on the Gold Coast, QLD. The Symposium will once again focus on biosecurity prevention and provide the opportunity to share research and innovation, explore outside-of-the-box thinking and exchange knowledge and ideas across the biosecurity collective – agriculture (animals and plants), pest animals, weeds, wildlife, aquatics, humans and the environment.
