New NDP 55 endorsed for Exotic leafhopper Xylella vectors and related species (Cicadellinae)
We are thrilled to launch a new National Diagnostic Protocol (NDP) for exotic leafhopper vectors of Australia’s number 1 National Priority Plant Pest, Xylella species. This protocol focusses on 7 exotic sharpshooter species, considered to be highly to moderately invasive with a wide host range or widely distributed in their current distribution range. All of these species (except for C. viridis) are known to vector Xylella in a variety of crops including grapevine, citrus, coffee and almond.
