The third webinar in the series will focus on plant bacteriology and will take place on Wednesday, 2 April 2025, from 12:30 pm–2:30 pm AEDT.

The vADW 2024-25 features a series of four interactive webinars, running from November 2024 to April 2025. The second webinar, focused on plant mycology, will take place across two sessions on Thursday, 27 February 2025, from 9:30–10:30 am AEDT and 12:30–1:40 pm AEDT.

Virtual ADW 2024-25 is exclusive to NPBDN members and will consist of four webinars held between November 2024 and April 2025. The first webinar will take place on Wednesday, 13 November. The session will focus on Plant Virology, with an emphasis on tobamoviruses and the tomato brown rugose fruit virus (ToBRFV).

Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium) is a serious pest of stored grains, rice, oilseeds and dried foodstuffs and is listed as #2 on Australia’s list of National Plant Priority Pests (NPPP). To increase national capability in identifying this destructive pest, NPBDN is funding the delivery of the Dermestidae and Khapra beetle identification workshop, and is providing travel support for nominated participants attending from across Australia.

This event will be held from Tuesday, 19 March – Wednesday, 20 March 2024. This annual event continues to serve as an important opportunity for National Plant Biosecurity Diagnostic Network (NPBDN) members to learn, exchange tips and techniques, and to network with colleagues in the field. These workshops serve to build capability for plant biosecurity diagnostics in Australia.
